Thalgara Wines
Thalgara Estate was established in 1983 and specialises in making small quantities of premium Hunter wines.
With some of the oldest vines in the Hunter valley, all our fruit is hand picked to maintain the highest quality.
Our award winning Thalgara Shiraz is made in traditional hand plunged open fermenters and matured for up to two years in oak to produce complex and long cellaring wines.
The Thalgara Chardonnay ranges from Show Reserve with partial barrel fermentation to a fresh unwooded style. In 2009 we have added 2 new exiting wines under the Full Moon Label a fresh Sauvignon Blanc and a lovely spicy Verdehlo.
Thalgara Estate has achieved some 90 medals and 15 trophies since we began production.
